Description

Tender chicken marinated in garlic and Parmesan, air-fried to golden perfection for a quick, flavorful, and healthy meal or appetizer.


Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
6-8 wooden or metal skewers


Instructions

Step 1: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning in the air fryer.
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir well until a fragrant marinade forms.
Step 3: Add the cubed chicken pieces to the marinade. Toss gently to ensure all chicken is evenly and generously coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours, to allow the flavors to meld.
Step 4: Thread the marinated chicken onto your prepared skewers, making sure to leave a small gap between each chicken piece for optimal air circulation during cooking.
Step 5: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for approximately 5 minutes. Preheating is key for achieving a crispy exterior.
Step 6: Place the chicken skewers in the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping the skewers halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F or 75°C).
Step 7: Carefully remove the cooked skewers from the air fryer. Garnish generously with fresh chopped parsley before serving hot.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade. Always ensure chicken is cooked to 165°F (75°C) internal temperature.
