Description
Sweet, juicy, and perfectly caramelized pineapple chunks made in the air fryer for a quick and healthy tropical snack.
Ingredients
1 medium fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and cut into 1-inch chunks
1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted (or avocado oil spray)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
1/8 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the pineapple by cutting off the skin and core, then slicing the flesh into even 1-inch cubes.
Step 2: In a large bowl, toss the pineapple chunks with the oil, cinnamon, brown sugar, and salt until evenly coated.
Step 3: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Step 4: Arrange the chunks in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching.
Step 5: Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure all sides are caramelized.
Step 6: Once the edges are golden brown and bubbling, remove from the air fryer and serve warm.
Notes
For a spicy twist, add a pinch of chili powder or Tajin before air frying. Always use fresh pineapple for the best structural integrity.
