Ingredients

  • 4 cube steaks
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced (sauce)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (sauce)
  • 1/2 cup milk (sauce)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (toppings)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (toppings)
  • Fresh parsley (optional garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, salt, and black pepper. Dredge cube steaks in flour mixture.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in skillet over medium heat. Cook steaks 3-4 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In same skillet, cook sliced onion until softened.
  4. Stir in cream of mushroom soup and milk. Simmer 5-7 minutes.
  5. Return steaks to skillet, coat with sauce, and simmer 5 more minutes.
  6. Garnish steaks with chopped parsley, Parmesan cheese, fresh parsley, and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
