Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds chicken tenders or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cornflakes, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or olive oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 12 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Soak chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, crushed cornflakes, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Dredge chicken in flour mixture and place on baking sheet. Spray or drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and cooked through.
