Description
A delicious fusion of banana bread and cinnamon rolls, swirled with cinnamon sugar and topped with luscious cream cheese frosting.

- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup milk (warm)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (filling)
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon (filling)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened (filling)
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened (frosting)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened (frosting)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (frosting)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (frosting)
- 1–2 tbsp milk (frosting)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix mashed bananas, sugars, milk, butter, egg, and vanilla.
- Combine flour, yeast, and salt separately, then add to the wet ingredients to form a dough.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes, then let rise for 1 hour.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
- Roll dough into a rectangle, spread with softened butter, and sprinkle with filling.
- Roll into a log, cut into 12 pieces, and place in a greased baking dish.
- Let rolls rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes until golden.
- Beat cream cheese and butter, add sugar and vanilla, then milk for desired consistency.
- Frost rolls while warm and serve.
Notes
Add chopped nuts or chocolate chips for variety. For a dairy-free version, use plant-based milk and butter.
