Ingredients
8 slices thick-cut bacon
4 slices bread (sourdough, whole wheat, or white)
2 large lettuce leaves (romaine or iceberg)
2 ripe tomatoes, sliced
Salt and black pepper to taste
For the BBQ Ranch Sauce:
1/4 cup ranch dressing
2 tablespoons BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for extra smokiness)
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the bacon. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon slices and cook until crispy, about 5-8 minutes per side, depending on thickness. Remove bacon from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat. Set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the BBQ Ranch Sauce. In a small bowl, combine the ranch dressing, BBQ sauce, and smoked paprika (if using). Stir well until thoroughly mixed. Taste and adjust to your preference.
Step 3: Toast the bread. While the bacon cools slightly, toast your bread slices to your desired crispness. You can use a toaster, a skillet, or a toaster oven.
Step 4: Assemble the sandwiches. Spread a generous amount of BBQ ranch sauce on one side of each toasted bread slice. Layer two slices of tomato on one piece of bread, season lightly with salt and pepper.
Step 5: Add bacon and lettuce. Place 4 slices of crispy bacon on top of the tomatoes, then top with a large lettuce leaf. Place the other slice of toasted bread, sauce-side down, on top to complete the sandwich.
