- 1 lb pasta dough
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
- ½ cup ricotta cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)
- Fresh basil leaves (optional garnish)
- Red pepper flakes (optional garnish)
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook ground beef and mushrooms over medium heat until beef is browned and mushrooms are tender. Drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, combine cooked beef and mushrooms, ricotta cheese, grated Parmesan, egg, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
- Roll out pasta dough and cut into squares. Place a spoonful of filling in center of each square. Fold pasta over filling and seal edges.
- Bring large pot of salted water to boil. Cook stuffed pasta 3–4 minutes or until they float to surface.
- Garnish pasta with chopped parsley, grated Parmesan, fresh basil leaves, and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
Ensure pasta is well-sealed before cooking for best texture and presentation. Serve on a fancy platter or individual plates for elegance. Substitute ricotta with cottage or goat cheese for flavor variation. Use low-fat ricotta for a lighter dish.
