Ingredients
2 ripe avocados (halved, pitted, and peeled)
1 small onion (finely chopped)
1 medium tomato (diced)
1-2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 lime (juiced)
1/4 cup fresh cilantro (chopped)
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: 1 jalapeño (seeded and minced, for heat)
Instructions
Step 1: In a medium bowl, use a fork or potato masher to mash the ripe avocados to your desired consistency—smooth or chunky, it’s up to you!
Step 2: Stir in the chopped onion, diced tomato, minced garlic, and cilantro, gently folding to combine.
Step 3: Squeeze the juice of one lime over the mixture and season generously with salt and pepper to taste. If you like it spicy, add the minced jalapeño at this stage.
Step 4: Taste your guacamole and adjust the seasoning or lime juice as needed. Feel free to add more cilantro or jalapeño for extra flavor.
Step 5: Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl and enjoy immediately with tortilla chips, tacos, or your favorite Mexican dishes.
Notes
For an even creamier guacamole, you can add a tablespoon of sour cream or Greek yogurt. To keep it fresh longer, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface before refrigerating.
