Description
A simple yet powerful marinade that transforms any cut of steak into a tender, juicy, and incredibly flavorful masterpiece, perfect for grilling or pan-searing.
Ingredients
1/3 cup Soy sauce
1/2 cup olive oil
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp dried oregano
Instructions
Step 1: In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, olive oil, fresh lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, black pepper, and dried oregano until well combined.
Step 2: Place your desired cut of steak (such as sirloin, flank, ribeye, or flat iron) in a shallow dish or a large resealable plastic bag.
Step 3: Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring all surfaces are thoroughly coated. If using a dish, flip the steak a few times.
Step 4: Cover the dish or seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably 4-8 hours for optimal flavor and tenderness. For thicker cuts, you can marinate up to 24 hours.
Step 5: Before cooking, remove the steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Discard any remaining marinade.
Notes
For best results, marinate your steak for at least 2 hours, or up to 24 hours for maximum flavor and tenderness. Always marinate in the refrigerator.
