Ingredients
- 3 cups cooked ham, diced
- 1 (20 oz) can pineapple chunks, drained (reserve juice)
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Dijon or yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- ¼ cup reserved pineapple juice
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together brown sugar, mustard, soy sauce, pineapple juice, and ground cloves until smooth.
- Place diced ham and pineapple chunks in the baking dish.
- Pour glaze over ham and pineapple; gently stir to coat evenly.
- Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until glaze bubbles and edges caramelize.
- Optional: Broil for 2–3 minutes at the end for extra caramelization; watch carefully.
- Serve hot over rice, mashed potatoes, or with roasted vegetables; garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
Use leftover holiday ham, deli-style ham, or spiral ham; avoid overly thin or processed ham. Substitute fresh pineapple and juice if preferred. Add red chili flakes or hot sauce for spice. Sprinkle cheese during last 10 minutes for a cheesy variation. Store in fridge up to 4 days or freeze up to 2 months. Reheat in oven or microwave with splash of juice.
