Description

This Brown Sugar Pineapple Ham Bake is an easy, flavorful, and crowd-pleasing dish made with tender diced ham and pineapple chunks glazed in a sweet, tangy sauce. Perfect for family dinners, potlucks, or holiday meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups cooked ham, diced
  • 1 (20 oz) can pineapple chunks, drained (reserve juice)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon or yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • ¼ cup reserved pineapple juice
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together brown sugar, mustard, soy sauce, pineapple juice, and ground cloves until smooth.
  3. Place diced ham and pineapple chunks in the baking dish.
  4. Pour glaze over ham and pineapple; gently stir to coat evenly.
  5. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until glaze bubbles and edges caramelize.
  6. Optional: Broil for 2–3 minutes at the end for extra caramelization; watch carefully.
  7. Serve hot over rice, mashed potatoes, or with roasted vegetables; garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

Use leftover holiday ham, deli-style ham, or spiral ham; avoid overly thin or processed ham. Substitute fresh pineapple and juice if preferred. Add red chili flakes or hot sauce for spice. Sprinkle cheese during last 10 minutes for a cheesy variation. Store in fridge up to 4 days or freeze up to 2 months. Reheat in oven or microwave with splash of juice.
