A juicy and sticky oven-baked chicken recipe featuring a deep caramelized BBQ glaze.
Ingredients
4-6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
1/2 cup your favorite BBQ sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Step 2: Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to ensure a crispy skin.
Step 3: Combine the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika in a small bowl.
Step 4: Coat the chicken with olive oil and then rub the spice mix evenly over the skin and meat.
Step 5: Bake for 30 minutes, then remove and brush generously with BBQ sauce mixed with brown sugar.
Step 6: Return to the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until caramelized and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Notes
For extra sticky results, brush with sauce twice during the final 15 minutes of baking.
