Description

A soft, garlic-infused homemade bread topped with a generous layer of melted mozzarella and sharp parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

Scale

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup warm water (105-115°F)
2.25 tsp active dry yeast
1 tsp granulated sugar
1 tsp sea salt
1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
0.5 cup grated parmesan cheese
3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

Step 1: Activate yeast by mixing warm water, sugar, and yeast in a small bowl; let stand for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
Step 2: Combine flour and salt in a large bowl, then stir in the yeast mixture until dough forms.
Step 3: Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8 minutes until smooth, then let rise in a warm, greased bowl for 1 hour.
Step 4: Preheat oven to 400°F and shape dough into a large oval on a baking sheet.
Step 5: Brush the surface with garlic butter and top with mozzarella and parmesan.
Step 6: Bake for 18-20 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
Step 7: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For a deeper flavor, let the dough rise in the refrigerator overnight.
