Description

A soft, buttery homemade bread infused with aromatic garlic and fresh parsley, topped with a generous layer of melted cheese.

Ingredients

Scale

4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp salt
1 â…“ cup whole milk
1 ½ tsp active dry yeast
1 tsp sugar
½ stick butter, room temperature
4 cloves garlic, minced
¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

Step 1: Mix the warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a small bowl and let bloom for 10 minutes until frothy.
Step 2: In a large bowl, combine flour and salt, then add the yeast mixture and butter.
Step 3: Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Step 4: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 90 minutes in a warm place.
Step 5: Shape the dough into a loaf on a baking sheet and let rise for another 45 minutes.
Step 6: Brush with garlic and parsley butter, then sprinkle with cheese.

Notes

Ensure the milk is not too hot (over 110°F) or it will kill the yeast.
