Description
Quick, delicious, and gooey cheesy garlic chicken wraps made with tender chicken, loads of garlic, and melted mozzarella, perfect for a 25-minute weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
4 large flour tortillas
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp olive oil
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Step 1: Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and dried oregano.
Step 2: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat until the butter is melted and bubbling.
Step 3: Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 6-8 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
Step 4: Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Step 5: Lay each tortilla flat and divide the cooked garlic chicken evenly among them, placing it in the center.
Step 6: Sprinkle a generous amount of mozzarella cheese and fresh parsley over the chicken in each tortilla.
Step 7: Fold the sides of the tortilla in and roll them up tightly to form the cheesy garlic chicken wraps.
Step 8: Wipe the skillet clean and place the wraps seam-side down over medium heat. Toast for 1-2 minutes per side until the tortilla is golden and the cheese inside is fully melted.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice over the chicken right before rolling the wraps.
