Ingredients
1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced
4 large flour tortillas
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups shredded cheese (Mozzarella and Cheddar blend)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Season the diced chicken with salt, pepper, and onion powder, ensuring even coating on all pieces.
Step 2: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
Step 3: Lower the heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic to the pan, sautéing for 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 4: Lay tortillas flat. Distribute half of the cheese across the centers of the four tortillas.
Step 5: Top the cheese with the garlic chicken, then sprinkle the remaining cheese over the chicken.
Step 6: Fold the sides of the tortillas inward and roll them tightly to form the wraps.
Step 7: Wipe out the skillet and place the wraps seam-side down. Toast for 1-2 minutes per side until the tortillas are crispy and the cheese is melted.
Step 8: Slice in half and serve immediately while hot and gooey.
Notes
For the best results, use freshly minced garlic rather than pre-minced jars for a more vibrant flavor profile.
