Description

A rich, low-carb casserole featuring savory ground beef, tender cabbage, and a creamy three-cheese style sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb Ground Beef
1 medium Onion, chopped
1 large head Green Cabbage, chopped into 1-inch squares
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 cup Cottage Cheese (full fat)
1/2 cup Sour Cream
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese (divided)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Step 2: Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked; drain fat.
Step 3: Sauté the onions in olive oil within the same skillet until soft.
Step 4: Add cabbage to the skillet and cook for about 10 minutes until softened.
Step 5: Mix cottage cheese, sour cream, and spices in a separate bowl.
Step 6: Combine the beef, cabbage, and sauce in the baking dish.
Step 7: Top with half the cheddar and bake for 20 minutes; add remaining cheese and bake 5-10 minutes more until bubbly.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat cottage cheese to ensure the creamiest texture.
