Description
A warm, decadent, and creamy appetizer featuring sautéed mushrooms and a blend of three melted cheeses.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease an oven-safe baking dish.
Step 2: In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter or heat the oil. Sauté the mushrooms until browned and tender, about 8-10 minutes.
Step 3: Add the minced garlic to the mushrooms and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Remove from heat.
Step 4: In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sour cream, 1/2 cup of mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
Step 5: Fold the cooked mushrooms into the cheese mixture until well combined.
Step 6: Transfer the mixture to the baking dish and top with the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese.
Step 7: Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden and the dip is bubbly. Serve warm.
Notes
For the best flavor, use Cremini mushrooms and ensure the cream cheese is fully softened before mixing.
