Description

A delightful no-bake dessert featuring a buttery crust, creamy cheesecake-like filling, and a vibrant cherry topping.

Ingredients

Scale

1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
¼ cup granulated sugar
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
12 oz block-style cream cheese, room temperature
¾ cup powdered sugar, sifted
â…“ cup whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (8 oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crust: In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix well until crumbs are evenly moistened. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Refrigerate while you prepare the filling.
Step 2: Make the Cream Cheese Layer: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Beat in the whole milk and vanilla extract until fully combined.
Step 3: Fold in Whipped Topping: Gently fold the thawed whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until no streaks remain and the mixture is light and airy.
Step 4: Assemble the Dessert: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled graham cracker crust.
Step 5: Add Cherry Topping: Carefully spoon the cherry pie filling over the cream cheese layer, spreading it gently to cover the entire surface.
Step 6: Chill and Serve: Cover the dish loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the dessert to set completely. Slice and serve cold.

Notes

For a twist, try using vanilla wafer crumbs or shortbread crumbs for the crust. You can also experiment with other pie fillings like blueberry or strawberry. A sprinkle of toasted pecans on top can add extra crunch.
