Description
A decadent fusion of crispy garlic bread topped with creamy homemade Alfredo sauce, seasoned chicken, and melted mozzarella.
Ingredients
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, halved lengthwise and pounded to an even thickness
1 tbsp smoked paprika powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp onion powder
2 tbsp clarified butter or oil for cooking
2 tbsp fresh garlic, finely minced
2 tbsp butter for sauce
1 cup unsweetened heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 tbsp fresh garlic, finely minced for butter
1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 loaf of Italian bread
1 cup mozzarella cheese
Salt to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Season the chicken with salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Sear in clarified butter over medium-high heat for 5-6 minutes per side. Slice into small pieces once rested.
Step 2: Mix softened butter with 1 tbsp minced garlic and fresh parsley. Slice the Italian loaf in half and spread the mixture on both sides.
Step 3: In a saucepan, melt 2 tbsp butter, sauté remaining garlic, add heavy cream, and simmer. Whisk in Parmesan until smooth and thick.
Step 4: Toast the bread for 5 minutes at 400°F. Spread Alfredo sauce, add chicken, top with mozzarella, and bake for 8-10 minutes until golden.
Notes
For a lighter version, use grilled chicken. For extra crunch, broil for the last 2 minutes.
