Ingredients
1 lb chicken tenderloins
1 cup buttermilk
1.5 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
Step 1: In a large bowl, soak the chicken tenderloins in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes to ensure they are juicy.
Step 2: In a separate shallow dish, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Step 3: Remove each tender from the buttermilk, letting excess drip off, then dredge thoroughly in the flour mixture.
Step 4: Heat about 1 inch of oil in a heavy skillet to 350°F and fry the tenders for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
Step 5: Place the finished tenders on a wire rack to drain and maintain their crispiness before serving.
Notes
For the best results, do not crowd the pan while frying. Cook in batches if necessary to maintain oil temperature.
