Ingredients
1.5 lbs chicken breast, sliced
2 large eggs, beaten
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup honey
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water (slurry)
1 tsp lemon zest
Oil for frying
Instructions
Step 1: Season chicken with salt and pepper.
Step 2: Dip chicken in egg, then dredge in cornstarch.
Step 3: Fry chicken in 350°F oil until golden (3-4 mins) and drain.
Step 4: In a saucepan, whisk broth, lemon juice, honey, soy sauce, and zest.
Step 5: Bring to a simmer, whisk in slurry until thickened.
Step 6: Toss crispy chicken in the sauce and serve immediately.
