Description
A decadent dessert mashup featuring a fudgy brownie base topped with a layer of safe-to-eat chocolate chip cookie dough.
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (for topping)
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed (for topping)
1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
2 tablespoons milk (for topping)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for topping)
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, heat-treated (for topping)
1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a mini muffin tin thoroughly.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter and 1 cup sugar. Add eggs and 1 tsp vanilla, whisking until smooth.
Step 3: Fold in cocoa powder, 1/2 cup flour, and salt until just combined. Distribute the batter into the muffin tin.
Step 4: Bake for 12-15 minutes. While cooling, prepare the topping by creaming softened butter with sugars.
Step 5: Mix in milk, vanilla, and the heat-treated flour until a dough forms. Fold in mini chips.
Step 6: Once brownies are completely cool, scoop a tablespoon of dough onto each bite and chill before serving.
Notes
Ensure you heat-treat the flour for the topping to make it safe to eat. Mini chocolate chips work best for the small scale of these bites.
