Description
A rich, moist, and fudgy banana bread swirled with creamy peanut butter and loaded with chocolate chips.
Ingredients
3 large overripe bananas
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
Step 2: Mash the bananas in a large bowl until smooth, then stir in the melted butter.
Step 3: Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla until well combined.
Step 4: Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt together, then fold into the banana mixture.
Step 5: Stir in the chocolate chips, then pour half the batter into the pan.
Step 6: Spoon dollops of peanut butter over the batter, add the remaining batter, and swirl with a knife.
Step 7: Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Notes
For the best results, use bananas that have plenty of black spots on the skin.
