A decadent and easy-to-make dessert bar featuring a creamy cheesecake center sandwiched between flaky dough and topped with a crunchy cinnamon-sugar crust.
Ingredients
2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
2 blocks (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
1.5 cups granulated sugar, divided
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
Step 2: Press one can of crescent dough into the bottom of the pan to form a crust.
Step 3: Beat cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
Step 4: Spread the cream cheese mixture over the bottom crust.
Step 5: Layer the second can of crescent dough over the filling.
Step 6: Pour melted butter over the top and sprinkle with a mixture of the remaining sugar and cinnamon.
Step 7: Bake for 30 minutes until golden and set.
Step 8: Chill for at least 2 hours before slicing into bars.
Notes
Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps in the filling. Chilling the bars is mandatory for clean slices.
