Description
A delightfully easy dessert combining layers of soft cinnamon rolls, sweet apple pie filling, and a luscious cream cheese icing.
Ingredients
2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)
4 cups apple pie filling
1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Step 2: Unroll the cinnamon rolls from both cans. Cut each cinnamon roll into four equal pieces.
Step 3: In a medium bowl, combine the apple pie filling and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Stir gently to mix well.
Step 4: Arrange half of the cut cinnamon roll pieces evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Step 5: Spoon half of the cinnamon-apple mixture over the cinnamon roll pieces, spreading it out evenly.
Step 6: Place the remaining cinnamon roll pieces over the apple layer, then top with the rest of the cinnamon-apple mixture, spreading it to cover.
Step 7: Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through, and the apple filling is bubbly.
Step 8: Remove the baking dish from the oven. Immediately drizzle the icing from both cinnamon roll cans evenly over the warm lasagna.
Step 9: Let the Cinnamon Roll Apple Lasagna cool for 10-15 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!
Notes
For an extra treat, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. You can also sprinkle a handful of chopped pecans or walnuts on top before baking for added crunch.
