  • Author: Fati
  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 9-12 bars 1x

Description

Quick and easy cinnamon roll bars with a soft, buttery crust, cinnamon sugar swirl, and a sweet vanilla glaze. No yeast or rising time required, perfect for a fuss-free dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add softened butter, egg, and vanilla extract; stir until a soft dough forms.
  4. Press dough evenly into the prepared pan.
  5. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter.
  6. Drizzle melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on top.
  7. Use a knife or toothpick to gently swirl the cinnamon mixture into the dough creating a marbled effect.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. While baking, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze.
  10. Cool bars in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  11. Drizzle glaze over cooled bars before serving.

Notes

Avoid over-swizzling to maintain a marbled cinnamon swirl look. Bars can be stored at room temperature for 3-4 days or frozen up to 2 months. Add nuts or raisins to the cinnamon swirl for extra texture if desired.
