Description
A refreshing and creamy tropical cocktail made with white rum, coconut cream, and pineapple juice.
Ingredients
4 oz (120ml) White Rum
6 oz (180ml) Cream of Coconut
6 oz (180ml) Pineapple Juice
1 cup (150g) frozen pineapple chunks (optional, for extra flavor/thickness)
2 cups ice
Pineapple wedges and maraschino cherries for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Combine all liquid ingredients. In a blender, combine the white rum, cream of coconut, and pineapple juice.
Step 2: Add pineapple and ice. Add the frozen pineapple chunks (if using) and the ice to the blender.
Step 3: Blend until smooth. Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and has a thick, slushy consistency. Scrape down the sides if necessary to ensure everything is well combined.
Step 4: Serve and garnish. Pour the Pina Colada into hurricane glasses or highball glasses. Garnish each serving with a fresh pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry. Serve immediately and enjoy your taste of the tropics!
Notes
For a virgin (non-alcoholic) Pina Colada, simply omit the rum. You can adjust the sweetness by adding more cream of coconut or a splash of simple syrup. For a thinner drink, add less ice or a bit more pineapple juice.
