Instructions

- Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
- Add Food Coloring: Mix in blue food coloring to reach your desired hue.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture and mix until just combined.
- Fold in Chips: Gently fold in chocolate chips and M&M's if using.
- Scoop Dough: Drop generous scoops of dough onto baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft.
- Cool and Serve: Cool on baking sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack. Enjoy!
