Description

Irresistible Italian Bread Bombs combine sea-inspired crab and shrimp filling with melty cheeses and a golden garlic-brushed crust, perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup cooked lump crab meat
  • ½ cup cooked shrimp
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, crumbled
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring refrigerated pizza dough to room temperature on a floured surface for 20 minutes.
  2. Roll dough into a 12×10-inch rectangle; brush with half the olive oil.
  3. Cut dough into eight 1.25-inch strips and place on parchment-lined baking sheet, 1 inch apart.
  4. In a bowl, combine crab meat, shrimp, crumbled turkey bacon, mozzarella, Parmesan, chives, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Chill filling for 10 minutes.
  6. Place equal filling portions on each dough strip; fold dough over filling and pinch seams firmly.
  7. Roll gently to form round bombs; dampen edges with water if needed to seal.
  8. Mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, garlic powder, and salt for garlic butter glaze.
  9. Brush bombs with half the garlic butter; bake at 375 °F (190 °C) for 18–22 minutes.
  10. At 10 minutes, brush with remaining garlic butter; bake until golden and puffed.
  11. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure proper sealing to prevent filling leakage. Freeze unbaked bombs for up to 1 month; bake from frozen adding 3–4 minutes. Reheat leftovers in oven for best texture.
