These Crack Burgers are packed with savory bacon, zesty ranch seasoning, and melty cheddar cheese, creating an unbelievably addictive flavor that will make them your new go-to burger!
Ingredients
1 ½ lb ground chuck (80/20 recommended)
8 slices bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled
½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 packet (1 oz) dry ranch seasoning mix
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
4 burger buns, toasted
Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, extra cheese, special sauce
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels and crumble. Set aside.
Step 2: In a large bowl, gently combine the ground chuck, crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, dry ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, and onion powder. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the burgers tough.
Step 3: Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form them into ¾-inch thick patties. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent them from bulging while cooking. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
Step 4: Preheat your grill or a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. If grilling, ensure the grates are clean and lightly oiled.
Step 5: Cook the burgers for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time to your desired doneness. If adding extra cheese, place a slice on top during the last minute of cooking and cover briefly to melt.
Step 6: Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a pan until golden.
Step 7: Assemble your Crack Burgers by placing a patty on each toasted bun. Add your favorite optional toppings. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For an extra kick, mix a pinch of cayenne pepper into the burger mixture. Don't forget to toast your buns for the best texture!
