Description

An irresistible holiday appetizer featuring fluffy bread filled with gooey brie and tart cranberry sauce, shaped like a festive tree.

Ingredients

Scale

1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza or biscuit dough
200 g brie, cubed
½ cup cranberry sauce
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: On a lightly floured surface, unroll the dough. If using pizza dough, you may need to gently stretch it slightly. Cut the dough into approximately 24-28 equal squares (about 2x2 inches each).
Step 3: Take one dough square. Place a small cube of brie and a tiny dollop (about ½ tsp) of cranberry sauce in the center. Pinch the edges of the dough together to form a sealed ball. Repeat with all dough squares.
Step 4: Arrange the sealed dough balls on the prepared baking sheet in the shape of a Christmas tree. Start with a single ball at the top, then two below it, then three, and so on, creating a triangular shape. Use 2-3 balls at the bottom to form the tree trunk. Make sure the balls are touching.
Step 5: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, garlic powder, and chopped fresh rosemary.
Step 6: Brush the herb butter mixture generously over the entire dough tree, ensuring each ball is coated.
Step 7: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and puffed up, and the brie is melted and gooey. Keep an eye on it; if the top browns too quickly, you can loosely tent it with aluminum foil.
Step 8: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with a few extra fresh rosemary sprigs for a festive touch. Serve warm and let everyone pull off a piece!

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of black pepper or a sprinkle of flaky sea salt over the buttered bread before baking. You can also mix a teaspoon of brown sugar into the butter for a slightly sweeter glaze.
