Description

This Cranberry Brie Sourdough Pull-Apart Bread combines the tartness of cranberries with the creamy richness of Brie cheese, all nestled within a warm, freshly baked sourdough loaf. Perfect for holiday gatherings or cozy family dinners, this pull-apart bread is both easy to make and a feast for the senses.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 round sourdough bread loaf
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 8 oz Brie cheese, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: additional rosemary sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut the sourdough loaf into a crosshatch pattern, making deep cuts but not slicing all the way through the bottom.
  3. Place the bread on the prepared baking sheet. Gently pull apart the cuts to create space for the filling.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the cranberry sauce, Brie cheese, and chopped rosemary. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Using a spoon, stuff each cut section of the bread with the cranberry and Brie mixture, ensuring even distribution.
  6. Brush the melted butter over the top of the bread, allowing it to seep into the cuts.
  7. Wrap the bread loosely in aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  8. Allow the bread to cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs if desired.

Variations & Substitutions: - Cheese Alternatives: Swap Brie for Camembert or goat cheese for a different flavor profile. - Fruit Options: Use other fruits like cherries or figs in place of cranberries for a unique twist. - Herb Infusion: Experiment with different herbs such as thyme or basil for added flavor. Storage & Reheating Instructions: - Storage: Store any leftover bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. - Reheating: To reheat, wrap the bread in foil and warm it in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes, until warmed through.
