Ingredients
4 Tbsp. Butter
â…“ C. Celery chopped
â…“ C. Green onions chopped
1 ½ C. Heavy whipping cream
2 C. Whole milk
3 Tbsp. Flour
1 Tbsp. Tomato paste
8 oz. Cooked shrimp cut into pieces
8 oz. Crab meat
1 tsp. Old Bay seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Melt butter in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add chopped celery and green onions and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
Step 2: Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir continuously for 1 minute to create a roux.
Step 3: Gradually whisk in the whole milk and heavy whipping cream, ensuring no lumps. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring constantly, until it thickens slightly.
Step 4: Stir in the tomato paste and Old Bay seasoning.
Step 5: Add the cooked shrimp pieces and crab meat to the bisque. Heat through for 3-5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Step 6: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot and enjoy this delicious bisque.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives.
