Description
Succulent chicken thighs seared to crispy perfection and smothered in a rich, velvety garlic parmesan cream sauce.
Ingredients
4-6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Step 2: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place chicken skin-side down and sear for 8-10 minutes until crispy.
Step 3: Flip the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
Step 4: Reduce heat to medium. Melt butter in the same skillet and sauté garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 5: Pour in the heavy cream and whisk in the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Simmer until the sauce begins to thicken.
Step 6: Return the chicken to the pan and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Garnish with parsley and serve.
Notes
Ensure the chicken is patted very dry to get the skin crispy. For a lighter version, use half chicken broth and half cream.
