A rich and satisfying one-pan meal featuring tender sirloin steak, al dente penne, crisp broccoli, vibrant bell peppers, all coated in a decadent garlic parmesan cream sauce.
Ingredients
12 oz penne pasta
1.25 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-size pieces
Salt & black pepper, to taste
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup beef or chicken broth
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 cup broccoli florets, blanched
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Step 1: Boil penne in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Step 2: Season steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak 1–2 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
Step 3: In the same skillet, add butter and garlic. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Add broccoli and bell peppers; cook 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender.
Step 4: Stir in heavy cream, broth, and Parmesan. Simmer 2–3 minutes until thick and creamy. Add Italian seasoning.
Step 5: Return steak and penne to the skillet. Toss until fully coated in the creamy sauce.
Step 6: Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
This recipe is incredibly adaptable. To spice it up, add a pinch of red pepper flakes. For a different cheesy profile, try Asiago or Pecorino Romano. Fresh basil or oregano can be added with parsley for extra aroma. To make it gluten-free, simply use your favorite gluten-free pasta.
