Ingredients
3 cups whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup white chocolate chips
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon pure peppermint extract
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mini marshmallows (for topping)
Chocolate syrup or melted chocolate (for drizzle)
Instructions
Step 1: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the whole milk and heavy cream. Heat until the mixture is steaming and small bubbles form around the edges, but do not allow it to boil.
Step 2: Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the white chocolate chips and unsweetened cocoa powder. Whisk continuously until the chocolate chips are fully melted and the mixture is smooth and well combined.
Step 3: Stir in the pure peppermint extract and vanilla extract. Taste the cocoa and, if desired, add an additional 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract for a stronger mint flavor, stirring well after each addition.
Step 4: Pour the warm hot cocoa into individual mugs.
Step 5: Top each mug generously with mini marshmallows. Drizzle with chocolate syrup or melted chocolate for an elegant and delicious finishing touch. Serve immediately and enjoy your cozy, festive drink!
Notes
