Description

A rich and cheesy slow cooker soup that captures all the flavors of classic chicken parmesan in a warm, comforting bowl.

Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs chicken breasts
24 oz marinara sauce
4 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 diced yellow onion
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
8 oz ditalini pasta, cooked
Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Place chicken, onion, garlic, and herbs in the slow cooker.
Step 2: Pour marinara sauce and chicken broth over the ingredients.
Step 3: Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until chicken is tender.
Step 4: Remove chicken, shred with forks, and return to the pot.
Step 5: Stir in heavy cream, parmesan cheese, and pre-cooked pasta.
Step 6: Let sit on low for 15-20 minutes until creamy and warm.
Step 7: Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.

Notes

Always cook the pasta separately to ensure it doesn't get mushy in the slow cooker.
