Description

Tender, juicy pork chops slow-cooked in a rich, savory gravy made with cream of mushroom soup, onions, and aromatic seasonings. This comforting dish is perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings, offering a hearty meal with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Generously season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, sear the pork chops for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. This step adds depth of flavor but can be skipped if short on time.
  3. In the bottom of your Crock Pot, layer the sliced onions and minced garlic.
  4. Place the seared pork chops on top of the onions and garlic in the Crock Pot.
  5. In a medium bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, thyme, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Stir until smooth.
  6. Pour the gravy mixture over the pork chops, ensuring they are well-coated.
  7. Cover the Crock Pot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the pork chops are tender and fully cooked.
  8. Once cooked, carefully remove the pork chops from the Crock Pot. Serve them with the gravy spooned over the top, garnished with fresh parsley.
