Description
An incredibly easy and rich dessert featuring chocolate cake, gooey coconut, and crunchy pecans, baked to perfection with minimal effort. This dump cake delivers all the classic flavors without the fuss.
Ingredients
1 (15.25 ounce) box German chocolate cake mix
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (14 ounce) package sweetened flaked coconut
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Step 2: Pour the entire box of German chocolate cake mix evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Do not mix with any other ingredients.
Step 3: Evenly pour the can of sweetened condensed milk over the dry cake mix. Try to cover as much of the surface as possible.
Step 4: Sprinkle the sweetened flaked coconut evenly over the sweetened condensed milk layer.
Step 5: Distribute the chopped pecans over the coconut layer.
Step 6: Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the entire dish. Do not stir or mix the layers.
Step 7: Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly. The center should still be gooey.
Step 8: Remove from oven and let stand for 10-15 minutes before serving. This allows the cake to set slightly. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
This cake is truly best served warm, perhaps with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator and gently reheat for that fresh-baked experience.
