Description
This super easy peach cobbler recipe delivers a warm, comforting dessert with juicy peaches and a tender, golden topping, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
2 cans (15 ounces each) sliced peaches in syrup (or 4 cups fresh or frozen peaches)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup milk
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
Step 2: If using canned peaches, drain them thoroughly. If opting for fresh peaches, peel and slice them, then toss them with a spoonful of sugar if they aren't very sweet.
Step 3: Spread the prepared peaches evenly across the bottom of your greased baking dish.
Step 4: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
Step 5: Add the milk, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir gently until the batter is just combined. Avoid overmixing.
Step 6: Carefully pour the batter evenly over the layer of peaches in the baking dish. Do not stir the layers together.
Step 7: Place the dish in your preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is beautifully golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the crust comes out clean.
Step 8: Once baked, remove the cobbler from the oven and allow it to cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm, perhaps with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
Notes
For an extra touch of spice, add 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon to the dry ingredients. This recipe is also fantastic with mixed berries or apples.
