Description
A perfectly balanced, savory, and tangy dipping sauce made with Chinese black vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil. Better than takeout!
Ingredients
2 tablespoons Soy sauce
1 tablespoon Chinkiang black vinegar (or rice vinegar)
1 teaspoon Chili oil with flakes
1 teaspoon Toasted sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon Sugar
1 clove Garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon Fresh ginger, grated
1 tablespoon Green onions, thinly sliced
Instructions
Step 1: In a small mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, Chinkiang black vinegar, and sugar.
Step 2: Whisk the mixture until the sugar is completely dissolved into the liquids.
Step 3: Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, stirring well to combine.
Step 4: Drizzle in the toasted sesame oil and the chili oil, allowing them to swirl on the surface.
Step 5: Stir in the sliced green onions and let the sauce sit for 5-10 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
Notes
If you don't have black vinegar, use rice vinegar with a tiny splash of balsamic for depth. Adjust chili oil to your heat preference.
