Description

Whimsical and healthy whole grain toasts topped with herb cream cheese and hard-boiled egg bunny faces.

Ingredients

Scale

4 slices seeded or wholegrain bread
4 hard-boiled eggs
150 g cream cheese
2 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (chives or parsley)
1 small carrot, sliced for noses
6 fresh chives, cut for whiskers
8 black peppercorns or small black olive pieces
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Toast the 4 slices of seeded or wholegrain bread until golden and crisp.
Step 2: In a small bowl, mix the 150g of cream cheese with 2 tbsp of chopped fresh herbs and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Step 3: Spread the herb cream cheese mixture evenly across all 4 slices of toast.
Step 4: Peel the 4 hard-boiled eggs. Slice each egg in half lengthwise.
Step 5: Place one egg half in the center of a toast slice to form the bunny face. Slice the second half lengthwise again to create two ears and place them at the top.
Step 6: Use black peppercorns or olives for eyes, a small piece of carrot for the nose, and chive snippets for the whiskers.
Step 7: Repeat for the remaining toasts and serve your Easter Bunny Egg Toasts immediately.

Notes

Ensure eggs are cooled before slicing to maintain the best shape for the bunny ears.
