Description
This quick and easy caramel apple dip features a creamy, vanilla-infused cream cheese base topped with rich caramel, perfect for dipping fresh apple slices.
Ingredients
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
â…“ cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon vanilla bean paste (optional)
1 (13-ounce) container prepared caramel dip (such as Marzetti or Kraft)
4-5 medium apples, such as Granny Smith, Fuji, or Honeycrisp, sliced for dipping
Instructions
Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, brown sugar, and vanilla extract (and vanilla bean paste, if using). Beat with an electric mixer or whisk until smooth and well combined.
Step 2: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into a shallow serving dish or pie plate.
Step 3: Carefully pour the prepared caramel dip over the cream cheese layer, spreading it gently to cover the surface.
Step 4: Serve immediately with an assortment of fresh apple slices. For best results, let the dip sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving if made ahead.
Notes
For an extra touch, sprinkle the top of the caramel with mini chocolate chips, chopped peanuts, or toffee bits before serving. You can also warm the caramel dip slightly in the microwave for 15-30 seconds to make it easier to spread, but don't overheat it.
