Description
A fun and easy-to-make savory bread loaded with cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and veggies, all baked inside a crispy pizza dough crust.
Ingredients
1 can refrigerated pizza dough
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup pepperoni slices
1/2 cup cooked sausage crumbles
1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
1/4 cup diced onion
1/4 cup sliced black olives
1/4 cup marinara sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
Step 2: On a lightly floured surface, unroll the pizza dough into a large rectangle.
Step 3: In a bowl, combine mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, pepperoni, cooked sausage, diced green bell pepper, diced onion, and black olives.
Step 4: Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edges.
Step 5: Sprinkle the cheese and topping mixture generously over the marinara sauce.
Step 6: Carefully roll the dough from one long side to the other, creating a log. Pinch the seams and ends firmly to seal, ensuring no filling escapes.
Step 7: Transfer the rolled bread to the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down. Brush the top with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
Step 8: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Step 9: Let the garbage bread cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Feel free to customize your garbage bread with your favorite pizza toppings! Just make sure not to overfill it. Great with extra marinara for dipping.
