Description

These simple and delicious Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Roll-Ups are the perfect quick snack, appetizer, or fun meal, loaded with classic pizza flavors.


Ingredients

6 large flour tortillas (burrito size)
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices (or chopped regular pepperoni)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning (optional)
Marinara sauce for dipping (optional)


Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a large baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
Step 2: Lay one tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread about 1-2 tablespoons of pizza sauce evenly over the tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
Step 3: Sprinkle about 1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by a generous layer of mini pepperoni slices.
Step 4: Starting from one edge, tightly roll up the tortilla into a log. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and fillings.
Step 5: Brush the outside of each rolled tortilla with olive oil. If desired, sprinkle with dried Italian seasoning.
Step 6: Using a sharp knife, slice each rolled tortilla into 4-5 pieces, about 1-inch thick. You should get 24-30 roll-ups in total.
Step 7: Arrange the roll-up slices, cut-side up, on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 8: Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the tortillas are lightly golden and slightly crispy at the edges.
Step 9: Remove from the oven and serve immediately with extra warm marinara sauce for dipping, if desired.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the pizza sauce. You can also experiment with different cheeses like provolone or a mix of cheddar and mozzarella.
