â…“ cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon unsalted butter


Instructions

Step 1: Finely chop the semi-sweet chocolate and place it in a medium heat-proof bowl; set aside.
Step 2: In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the heavy cream and unsalted butter. Heat in the microwave for 30-45 seconds, or until the cream is steaming hot and the butter is fully melted.
Step 3: Pour the hot cream mixture directly over the chopped chocolate in the bowl. Let it sit undisturbed for 3 minutes to allow the chocolate to melt evenly.
Step 4: After 3 minutes, gently whisk the mixture starting from the center of the bowl. Gradually work your way outwards until the ganache is completely smooth, glossy, and uniform in color. Avoid over-whisking, which can incorporate air bubbles.

Notes
