Description
A buttery, flaky, and creamy seafood appetizer that's perfect for any party or holiday gathering.
Ingredients
1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 cup cooked crab meat (lump or flaked)
4 oz cream cheese (softened)
2 tablespoons green onion (finely chopped)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 24-slot mini muffin tin with non-stick spray.
Step 2: In a medium mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with garlic powder and black pepper until completely smooth.
Step 3: Gently fold in the crab meat and the finely chopped green onions using a spatula, keeping the crab chunks intact if possible.
Step 4: Unroll the crescent dough and pinch the perforated seams together to create a solid sheet. Cut the dough into 24 equal squares.
Step 5: Press each square of dough into the bottom and up the sides of the mini muffin tin slots.
Step 6: Fill each dough cup with approximately one tablespoon of the crab and cream cheese mixture.
Step 7: Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is hot. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
Ensure the crab meat is well-drained and patted dry to prevent soggy bottoms. Keep the crescent dough chilled until the very last minute.
