Ingredients
1 store-bought or homemade pie crust
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Step 2: Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool slightly.
Step 3: In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream, mayonnaise, and eggs. Whisk until smooth.
Step 4: Stir in the cheddar cheese, green onions, red bell pepper, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Step 5: Fold in the shrimp until well combined, then pour the mixture into the pre-baked pie crust.
Step 6: Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is lightly browned.
Step 7: Let the pie cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the filling. You can also experiment with other types of cheese like Monterey Jack or a blend of seafood-friendly cheeses.
