Description
A quick and customizable breakfast pizza made on English muffins, perfect for busy mornings or fun brunches.
Ingredients
2 English muffins, split
4 tablespoons pizza sauce
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or preferred blend)
Optional toppings: cooked crumbled sausage, bacon bits, diced ham, sliced bell peppers, chopped onions, mushrooms, spinach, cherry tomatoes (halved), a small egg, dried oregano, red pepper flakes
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven or toaster oven to 375°F (190°C). If using an air fryer, preheat to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Split English muffins in half and place them cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly toast them in the oven for 2-3 minutes to prevent sogginess.
Step 3: Remove the muffins from the oven. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce evenly over each muffin half.
Step 4: Sprinkle generously with shredded cheese.
Step 5: Add your desired toppings (ensure any meats are pre-cooked).
Step 6: Return the assembled pizzas to the oven (or air fryer). Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the muffin edges are golden brown. If using an air fryer, check after 5 minutes.
Step 7: For extra crispiness, you can finish under the broiler for 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
Step 8: Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
Feel free to get creative with your toppings! This recipe is incredibly versatile. For best results, don't overload the muffins with too many toppings.
