Description
Create a stunning and delicious holiday charcuterie board with minimal effort, featuring a delightful assortment of meats, cheeses, and festive accompaniments perfect for entertaining.
Ingredients
8 oz sliced salami
8 oz prosciutto
8 oz pepperoni
8 oz cubed cheddar cheese
8 oz brie cheese
8 oz sliced gouda cheese
1 cup red or green grapes
1 cup dried apricots
1 cup mixed nuts (walnuts, almonds, pistachios)
1/2 cup marinated olives
1/2 cup honey for drizzling
Crackers or crusty bread (for serving)
Fig jam or fruit preserves (optional)
Small gherkins or cornichons (optional)
Fresh rosemary sprigs (for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Choose your board. Select a large wooden board, slate platter, or serving tray as your base for the charcuterie.
Step 2: Arrange the cheeses. Place the larger cheese blocks or wheels (brie, cheddar, gouda) strategically on the board, leaving space between them for other items.
Step 3: Add the meats. Fold or roll the sliced salami, prosciutto, and pepperoni attractively and arrange them around the cheeses. Create visual interest with different shapes.
Step 4: Incorporate fresh and dried fruits. Scatter grapes and dried apricots in clusters, filling in some of the gaps on the board and adding color.
Step 5: Place nuts and olives. Add mixed nuts and olives in small bowls or directly onto the board in available spaces.
Step 6: Drizzle with honey and garnish. Pour honey into a small ramekin for easy drizzling. Garnish the board with fresh rosemary sprigs for a festive touch.
Step 7: Add crackers and bread. Place crackers, bread, or breadsticks nearby, either directly on the board or in a separate basket, ready for serving.
Notes
Customize your board with your favorite cheeses, meats, and seasonal fruits. Use small bowls for olives, honey, or jams to keep things tidy. For best results, let cheeses come to room temperature for 30 minutes before serving to enhance their flavor and texture.
